Gillani, Khattak quit PTI, join PML-N

LAHORE - Former law minister Syed Iftikhar Hussain Gillani and former MPA Iftikharuddin Khattak on Friday dissociated from Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and joined Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N).
Both the politicians met Nawaz Sharif at his Raiwind residence and announced to join PML-N. “We have full trust in the leadership of Nawaz Sharif and Shahbaz Sharif”, they stated.
The PML-N President Nawaz Sharif welcomed joining PML-N by PTI KP central leaders Iftikhar Gilani and Iftikhar ud Din Khattak.
Nawaz Sharif hoped that PML-N would gain more strength in KP and play more effective role in the province by benefiting from expertise of both of these leaders.
Iftikhar Gilani said on the occasion that only Mian Nawaz Sharif could steer the country out of crisis.
Chief minister Punjab Shahbaz Sharif, Iqbal Zafar Jhagra, Pir Sabir Shah, Mehtab Abbasi, Pervez Rashid and Amir Muqam were also present on the occasion.
